One of them is clean wipe, but Symantec provides two additional pieces of software that all do the same thing, but to get the biggest effect I had to run them all. I don’t remember the names of the software, if you DM me I will check tomorrow.
Awful software.Īnyway what I suggest you do is collect all the Symantec endpoint removal tools and scripts you can find. If you dig deep into Symantec’s (broadcoms) documentation the “if all else fails” solution is manually removing every single registry entry and system file, including booting into safe mode at some point. I migrated about 50 users from Symantec SEP to Trend Micro Apex One last year and it was a nightmare.
